About Kenzie Davison

Kenzie has eight years of experience in academic librarianship, coordinating reference and information literacy, content management systems, and access services. She holds a Master of Library & Information Science degree from Simmons College, focusing on Information Science & Technology. As well as a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, majors in English & Religious Studies and a minor in Latin American Studies.

She now works to streamline and polish the writing of the tech-savvy reviewers, experts, and consumer advisors at Pocket-lint. Kenzie loves working with staff and freelance writers to ensure their words are not only accurate, but user and search engine friendly; combining the two fields she's grown into throughout her career.

What was your first phone?

The first one was a Motorola Razr handed down from my brother, quickly followed up by the LG White Chocolate. I resisted smartphones well into my twenties, and grew up in a pocket of the rural US that didn't have cell service until sometime after 2014. I sometimes miss the ability to take the battery out of the back of flip phones to reset.

When did your interested in technology begin?

Probably in my first computers and typing class in elementary school, of course, in the library.

What tech products or categories are you most passionate about?

I enjoy consumer tech that helps make the world more connected, accessible, and adaptive to human beings. I also have always loved information theory and how classification systems, metadata, and tagging leads to better user interfaces. I am passionate about providing accessible, engaging, and inclusive service to users seeking information.
